Ten-ten & Maru
In the Japanese language hiragana, they actually have more letters, but these letters are different. Instead of being complete different letters they are the same as other ones only they have ten-ten at the top of them. So, when you add ten-ten to a letter it changes the sound. e.g. the S line with ten-ten changes to Z. さ - ざ し - じ す - ず せ - ぜ そ - ぞ
There is also a thing called Maru which is like a tiny little circle at the top of letters to change the sound. But you can only add maru to the 'H' line, and it turns it into 'P' line. e.g. ha - pa は - ぱ hi - pi ひ - ぴ etc.

A helpful tip to remember what letter changes to what with ten-ten is to remember these little rhymes:
- The King wears a Golden crown.
- Snakes in the Zoo.
- Train goes to the Depot.
- Holding a big Balloon.
- Holding a Poodle
